Is it really free?
Yes. There’s no cost and no obligation. Many of the landowners we work with today started with a simple question about their rent.
Is this an appraisal?
No. It’s our broker’s opinion of value, based on our knowledge of the local market and recent sales. It’s a good basis for planning and family decisions. If you need a certified appraisal for an estate, a lender or a court, we’ll tell you and can refer you to a certified appraiser.
What do you need from me?
Just where the farm is and roughly how many acres. If you have a copy of the lease or your latest property tax statement, send it along, but it isn’t required.
Will you pressure me to sell or sign up for management?
No. We’ll give you the numbers and our honest read. What you do with them is up to you.
Do you review farms outside Iowa?
We manage farms in Minnesota and Illinois as well as Iowa. Send us your request and we’ll let you know if your farm is in an area we cover.
